THE Northern Ireland software firm Aurora UniComp, which was formed by the merger of two leading information technology companies CMI and CEM Computers, is to create another 50 jobs at its head office in Mallusk and in a new office which is to open in Derry later this year.

The managing director, Mr Ken Roulston, said the jobs would be in the company's sales, technical and support divisions.

Aurora claims to have a customer base of around 1,000 private and public sector organisations. It is a subsidiary of the American firm UniComp, which is based in Georgia, and which owns three other locally-based software companies - ICS Computing, Unibol and CICS.
