Ireland should try to attract the enormous amounts of money available through Islamic finance, the managing partner of Reddy Charlton McKnight, Paul Keane, said yesterday.

He was speaking during discussions on the listing of Islamic financial instruments on the Irish Stock Exchange between his firm, representatives of the exchange and experts on Islamic finance.

According to Moody’s Investors Service, the Islamic finance market globally is estimated to be worth approximately $700 billion.
