Hotels  The four-star Rock Glen Country House Hotel at Clifden, Co Galway, is expected to make around €4 million when it is offered for sale shortly through CB Richard Ellis Gunne.

The hotel, originally a 19th century shooting lodge, has been converted and extended; it now includes 26 en suite bedrooms, an 80-seater restaurant, a lounge bar, conservatory, residents' drawingroom, TV room and snooker room.

There is full planning permission for 12 more two and three-bedroom apartments which would add a further 32 bedrooms.

The hotel, run by the Roche family for over 30 years, stands on a spectactular elevated site of 9.2 hectares with extensive frontgage on to Ardbear Bay and the Atlantic.
