ACCBank has secured an €11.1 million judgment order against three businessmen over unpaid loans taken out to build a 87-bedroom hotel in Ballina, Co Mayo.

Mr Justice Peter Kelly entered judgment at the Commercial Court yesterday against John and Stephen Fallon, of Rehins, Ballina, and Eugene Cawley, Carrentriala, Ballina. There was no appearance by or on behalf of the defendants.

The claim arose on foot of loans and agreements, including a €9 million loan issued in June 2005 to build and fit out an 87-bed hotel and conference centre in Ballina.
