London-listed Cairn Homes has been granted full planning permission to construct 86 apartments in Donnybrook and to add 22 large houses at its Marianella development in Rathgar, both in Dublin.
The listed builder also welcomed the recent announcement that new planning guidelines relating to the design of apartments and apartments buildings blocks will be put in place shortly. The planned changes include the removal of height caps and mandatory basement car-park provisions.
Cairn said An Bord Pleanála has granted full planning permission for the construction of 86 apartments at the company's site at Greenfield Park, Donnybrook
Construction is expected to commence at the site, which previously has planning for 70 units, in early 2018.
Wicklow County Council recently full planning permission for the construction of 192 residential units at phase 2 of Cairn's Glenheron development in Greystones, Co. Wicklow. Construction will commence immediately. In addition, full planning permission has also been granted by Dublin City Council for 22 additional large houses at the Marianella development in Rathgar.
Cairn owns 33 residential development sites currently with capacity for over 12,700 new homes.
The company, which recently acquired 8.64 acres of prime development land in Donnybrook from State broadcaster RTÉ for €107.5 million, said is is building on nine sites in the greater Dublin area currently which will deliver over 3,250 units.
