A five-acre site with potential for housing at Dunboyne Road in Maynooth, Co Kildare, has sold at auction for €2.62 million. A recent feasibility study by the vendors says the site could take a low density development of 50 houses. Loman Dempsey of Savills who handled the sale with REA Coonan, said there was increased demand for new homes but a significant shortage of zoned housing land in the greater Dublin area.
