Renewed demand for ready-to-go housing sites in the greater Dublin area is prompting estate agents to sell them at auction.
Just before Christmas, Loman Dempsey of Savills secured €3 million at auction for a site of 22.54 acres at Kellegland, Ashbourne, Co Meath, with planning permission for 258 residential units. The sale attracted more than 40 inquiries.
Savills also secured €80,000 at auction for Drummonds Mill on a site of 6.2 acres at Rathangan, Co Kildare.The site is close to the town centre with frontage to the river Slate and the Grand Canal.
Meanwhile, Wesley Rothwell of CBRE is to auction on January 17th a 1.1-acre site at Dollymount Ave, Clontarf, D5, with permission for 14 houses. The guide price is €2m.
