Development LandAn interesting opportunity has arisen to swop a development site in the Dublin area for 17 acres close to the Knocklyon junction on the M50 in south Dublin.

Ellier Developments, currently building new homes at Hunterswood, is offering to exchange two green fields extending to 17 acres fronting on to both the Old Court Road and the Ballycullen Road for a site zoned for either a commercial or residential development.

The Ellier site is bounded to the north by lands designated for a housing scheme. The proposed extension of the Oldcourt Road will cross close to the northern end of the site and connect to Stocking Lane. The Ellier site is zoned as open space in the 1998 South Dublin County Council development plan and the Ballycullen/Oldcourt action area plan.

Uses permitted under this zoning include community and recreational facilities and sports club. Uses open for consideration range from hospital or hotel, garden centre to education and crèche.
