THE Margin noted with interest the plan by Chrysalis to merge Queens Park Rangers with London rugger club Wasps. Could this set a trend in Ireland, one wonders.

Think of it. The lads of Bohs merging with the chaps from Wanderers, St Pats moving east from Inchicore to link up with the boys of Old Belvedere, SheIs staying northside but moving to Castle Avenue and joining up with Clontarf. Or even Cork City reversing itself into Cork Con - at least they wouldn't have to change the name much.

On second thoughts, maybe not.
