An action by two brothers against the Irish Brokers' Association (IBA) was unexpectedly adjourned at the High Court yesterday after one of the brothers became ill in court and was taken to hospital by ambulance.

Mr Albert Dawson (63) became unwell just half an hour after the action formally began before a jury. He and his brother Dudley, trading as A E Dawson and Son, of Maywood, Raheny, Dublin, have taken the action, seeking damages for alleged defamation, against the IBA.
