Dell Computer and EMC, which employ more than 6,000 people in Ireland, signed a reselling alliance yesterday which could be worth billions of dollars. Under the deal, Dell will market EMC's mid-range data storage line called CLARiiON, while Dell and EMC will look for opportunities to use Dell's procurement and manufacturing capabilities in the production of EMC CLARiiON products.
