A group of transition students from schools in the Finglas area of Dublin have come third in the Young Enterprise European Company of the Year competition in Copenhagen.

The students submitted a project involving re-cycled glassware and wooden banana stands which was praised by the judges. There were 16 "companies" involved in the competition from all over Europe. The members of the team were Ms Michelle Losty, Ms Audrey Curtin, Ms Gillian Fox, Mr Christopher Murray and Mr Owen McGuinness. Their teacher, Ms Doreen Maher, praised the team and said students would be entering the competition again.
