Two conferences, to be held next week in Dublin Castle, will focus on e-business and the impact of technology on Irish business.

IBEC's annual business conference, Technology: Everybody's Business will take place next Thursday. IBM Ireland managing director Mr William Burgess and the Department of Public Enterprise secretary general Mr Brendan Tuohy will be among the speakers.

Meanwhile, on Monday, ways to engage small and medium-sized enterprises in e-business will be discussed at the Chambers of Commerce of Ireland conference. Speakers include Mr Mark Suster, chief executive of BuildOnline, and Mr Gerry McGovern, founder and chief executive of Nua and Local Ireland.
