Personal finance website, Interactive Investor International, is planning a London Stock Exchange listing which will see it valued at up to £245 million sterling (€399 million). The group, founded five years ago, is to price its shares at 120p to 150p sterling when it floats in London later this month. More than 127,000 private investors have subscribed for shares in the company - believed to be the highest retail subscription for an Internet flotation.
All of these subscribers had been users of the website, according to the company. Interactive Investor's 100 staff also have shares in the company. The group's website allows users to compare financial products and services including pensions and insurance funds. In addition to its UK site, iii.co.uk, it has early-stage operations in South Africa and Hong Kong.
