TAA made a loss of £6,799 in the year to the end of April 1995 - which increased the company's accumulated losses to £16,525. While turnover fell from £59,895 to £55,268, administrative expenses increased from £59,365 to £61,851.

The company's directors are Mr Paul Francis Taaffe and Ms Brenda Veronica Taaffe, both of whom live in Ardbrugh Close, Dalkey, Co Dublin. Mr Taaffe is also a director of two other companies, Taaffe Engineering and Magdie Investments.

The company, which incorporated 12 years ago, operated from premises on Upper Pembroke Street in Dublin, although its registered office was in Stillorgan Industrial Park.

TAA's losses have been gradually mounting since 1993. At the end of 1992, the company had an accumulated loss of a mere £677 but, within 12 months, this loss had grown to £9,806. In 1994 TAA made a profit of £383 but the following year was another difficult one, resulting in a loss of £6,799.

At the end of April 1995, the company owed just over £20,000 to creditors and was owed £2,660 by debtors. Trade creditors were over £10,221, AIB Bank was owed just over £4,000 and other creditors, including tax and social welfare, were owed almost £5,800.

The accounts for the year to the end of April 1995, which were lodged in mid March of this year, state that TAA's one employee received a salary of £22,000, an increase of £2,000 on the previous year.

The accounts give a detailed breakdown of all administrative expenses which the company incurred during the year. The most notable item in the list is the expenditure on motor, travel and entertainment" which increased from £12,758 to £14,114.
