More than 40 per cent of Irish small and medium-sized businesses have said a UK exit from the European Union would have a negative impact on their businesses, according to a new survey.
Eleven per cent of the surveyed businesses said Brexit might have a positive impact, according to the poll by accountancy software provider Big Red Cloud.
The remaining 46 per cent believed it would have no impact on their businesses.
Eighty-six per cent of respondents said they had a clear understanding on what Brexit was and two-thirds felt they had a "good understanding" of the possible implications for Ireland.
