A fledgling Belfast internet firm has beaten off stiff competition from industry giants such as Microsoft and EasyJet to win one of the UK's most prestigious electronic business awards. GEM, the Global E-mail Company, which provides an e-mail answering service from its Belfast offices, has won the Electronic Business Transformation Oscar. The Northern Ireland firm won the Most Impressive Newcomer category.
