GLEN Dimplex has announced the acquisition of the French electrical heating group Airelec, through its recently acquired Muller subsidiary. The company yesterday refused to disclose how much the acquisition cost. Airelec is estimated to have around 20 per cent of the French electrical heating market with annual sales of £35 million. Merging its with Muller, the group said, would generate annual sales of £100 million, giving it a 50 per cent share of the total French market. Glen Dimplex is an Irish company manufacturing electric heating products. Last year it reported annual sales of more than £500 million.
