The Institute of Directors in Ireland (IoD) has announced that its chief executive Maura Quinn is to step down from her role in June.

Ms Quinn, a chartered director, has been in the role for almost 14 years. Before that she was chief executive of Unicef Ireland.

IoD president Imelda Reynolds said: "I would like to thank Maura for her very significant contribution to the IoD over many years; her commitment and dedication to our members, colleagues and partners has been exemplary."

Ms Quinn said her time with the group “has been, and remains, an honour” before thanking Ms Reynolds and the council for “their steadfast support of so many IoD developments over the years”.
