WORRIED about sex with aliens? It took a nuclear strike by Earth's American led forces to beat off the aliens in the blockbuster film Independence Day, but earthlings can now buy financial compensation for any unwanted sexual encounters with creatures from another planet. A British insurance broker yesterday claimed to have become the first in the world to offer insurance against impregnation by bug eyed life forms from beyond the stars.

Specialist broker, Goodfellow Rebecca Ingrams Pearson (GRIP), said for £100 a year adults living in Britain could insure against two sorts of extraterrestrial interference. Abduction by aliens would net the victim £100,000 and impregnation - a risk against which both men and woman can insure - double that sum. Ms Julia Alexander, claims manager, said: "I am looking forward to receiving details of the first impregnation claim - especially if the claimant is male."
