Ireland has been chosen as a base one of the first 13 WorldCom international data centres to be opened across Europe in the next 12 months. The Irish centre will be located in Clonshaugh, Co Dublin, and will provide 65,000 sq ft of racks, caged areas and vaults for housing and hosting network services, as well as office space. It will offer direct access to WorldCom's network and UUNET's broadband Internet backbone. The facility will provide round-the-clock on-site maintenance and technical support.
