Kodak has made a breakthrough in digital camera technology in the shape of the DCS 520 which is said to be capable

of reproducing professional-quality images. The camera, developed jointly with Canon, is undergoing trials by sports photographers at the Winter Olympics in Nagano, Japan. According to the company, the camera allows photojournalists and commercial photographers to capture high quality images faster than digital camera technology has managed to date. It will retail at £12,000 in Ireland through Photologic in Dun Laoghaire.
