A COMPANY which has provided raised platforms for BBC cameras at sporting events from the Grand National to Wimbledon is to lift itself onto the stock market later this year, it said yesterday.

Lavendon Group, founded by a former GKN executive, Mr David Price, operates Britain's largest rental fleet of powered access equipment such as vehicle mounted platform lifts. The flotation, through a placing of shares with City institutions, will raise between £8 million and £12 million to fund continued growth in Britain and expand its activities overseas.
