The Minister for Finance, Mr McCreevy, has asked all State bodies - including commercial ones such as CIE and the ESB and non-commercial organisations, such as Bord Bia and Bord Iascaigh Mhara - to consider whether they would be suitable candidates for moving their existing operations out of Dublin. Replying to a Dail question, the Minister said that for the first time it was intended to include non-commercial State-sponsored bodies in the decentralisation programme. He said he was not convinced that many of these bodies should be located in Dublin.
