The Irish subsidiary of the Danish transport company DFDS Transport has purchased the entire shareholding in Irish transport company Meadowsfreight Ireland for an undisclosed sum. Meadowsfreight Ireland is based in Swords, Co Dublin and employs 240 people, with an annual turnover of £40 million.

Previously, Swiss Transport owned 20 per cent of Meadowsfreight, with Isle of Man-registered Berisford Freight holding the remaining 80 per cent.
