Software firm Digisoft.tv yesterday announced the creation of 30 new positions at its head office in Cork.

The firm, which was founded in 2000, is seeking to boost in-house engineering skills by hiring new technology developers and hardware engineers. It is also growing its sales and office management team.

Digisoft said it was expanding in response to the “explosion” in global demand for converged content and services across television, mobile, web and tablet devices. The company’s software platform enables TV service providers and operators to offer multiple advanced TV and on-demand services across a wide range of devices.
