Money runs dry for digital channel

The Margin has the utmost sympathy for anyone who finds themselves in a position that is financially embarrassing

The Margin has the utmost sympathy for anyone who finds themselves in a position that is financially embarrassing. But it could not help feeling there was a slight touch of irony in the news this week that the Money Channel has run out of money.

The business and finance broadcaster, set up by former pop star Mr Adam Faith, was on the brink of collapse after talks about a possible rescue package broke down. Set up in February last year, the digital channel's shares reached a peak of £5.22 sterling (€8.4) but were suspended at just £0.13.

Mr Faith set up the channel with a stockbroker. His hits included a song called What do you want if you don't want money.
