Job history: He began his career with Procter & Gamble in brand management before joining Reckitt & Colman at management level. In 1988 he moved to British Airways and was appointed chief executive of Sears a few years later. He joined Worldcom in 1997.

Why in the news? Worldcom International is implementing an internal reorganisation and will soon open its 65,000-square feet Dublin Internet data centre.
