Irish telecommunications billing company Openet Telecom has announced a strategic technology and marketing alliance with US companies, Savera Systems and TeleKnowledge Group. Under the agreement, the companies will integrate each of their complementary billing products, and co-market them via trade shows and customer referrals.

Telecommunications carriers traditionally endure waits of three to six months for billing systems and software to be installed. The new alliance predicts its combined approach will "shave months" off the standard wait time.
