Pay your income taxes as you surf the Internet

Telecom Eireann has introduced a new Internet service which should take some of the pain out of paying taxes

Telecom Eireann has introduced a new Internet service which should take some of the pain out of paying taxes. The new site is designed to help PAYE employees to calculate their tax liability and to fill out the necessary forms which will be accepted by the Revenue Commissioners.

The service can be accessed through the Telecom Eireann website. To use the service you will need all of the details required by a tax consultant, such as your RSI number and details of gross salary and expenses. By inputting this information the service allows you to calculate any outstanding tax liabilities or alternatively highlight where you may be entitled to a rebate.

The information is input onto a Form 12, which can be printed out and forwarded to the Revenue. The service is free with Internet users paying just the standard call charge rate and will be available until the end of the current tax year.
