Northern Ireland engineering group Powerscreen has continued its overseas expansion with the acquisition of an American materials handling business for £8.1 million sterling.

Powerscreen has acquired the materials handling business of JLG Industries, based in York, Pennsylvania and says that the business is a market leader in the design, manufacture and sale of hydraulic materials handling cranes.
