QUINN PROPERTY, the commercial property division of Quinn Group which specialises in the management and leasing, has opened its first commercial building in India.

The 1.2 million sq ft complex is the latest addition to the group’s commercial developments known as “Q-Parks” – large, modern complexes designed for commercial leasings.

In March, the company opened the first phase of its Q-Park in the Russian town of Kazan, 800km (500 miles) east of Moscow.

The company has invested $100 million (€67 million) in India over the last two years. “India is an exciting market for us with immense potential in the commercial real-estate space,” Peter Quinn, head of Quinn Property said. He said the location of the complex in Hyderabad, the fifth-largest city in India, is a key selling point. Multinationals such as Microsoft, Google and Oracle have been established there.

Earlier this year, the company said it was “confident” its commercial property division would continue to perform, despite the economic downturn.
