Oracle Corporation, the world's second largest software company has announced record second quarter results for the period to the end of last month, with net income (after tax profits) increasing 40 per cent to $384 million (€380 million) compared to $274 million (€271 million) for the same period last year. The company, which plans to increase its current workforce in Ireland from 800 to more than 1,000 people, said revenue grew from $2.1 billion to $2.4 billion.
