A new e-business subsidiary, which will allow people to search and access information filed at the Irish Companies Registration Office over the Web, has been created by IFG technology and development and Enki Information Systems.

Company Information Direct (CID) will be available through IFG's online service www.businessgold.com and the deal represents an investment by IFG of £500,000 (€635,000). It will provide online access to more than 1.2 million documents on the 450,000 companies listed.

Client companies will be able to choose between pay-per-view or subscription billing. Other services will include a company-formations service.

Users will be able to download Companies Registration Office blank documents like change-of-director forms.
