ONE MORE THING: THE FLOW OF senior executives from Anglo Irish Bank/IBRC continues with Michael O'Sullivan, its lending director for Ireland, recently stepping down. Others to depart recently include John Bowe, Niall Tuite and Eugene Murray.

IRISH ADVERTISING agency Rothco has been appointed by Asia Pacific Breweries in Singapore as its global advertising agency for Tiger Beer.
“We are delighted with the win and the opportunity to be creating and exporting creative work globally for an iconic Asian brand,” Rothco partner Richard Carr told me. “It is the first time an Irish agency has been appointed to create a global ad campaign for a non-Irish based brand.”

GERMAN RETAILER Aldi has disappointed milk suppliers in the Republic by renewing its contract for two-litre milk with Strathroy in Northern Ireland. Aldi recently tendered the €20 million contract, stating that the winner must have the National Dairy Council logo, which indicates to consumers that the milk has been sourced and processed in the Republic.
Instead, Aldi decided to stick with Strathroy for the vast bulk of its two-litre milk. This will be sourced from farms in Donegal, but as it will be processed in the North, it can’t carry the NDC logo.
The decision hasn’t impressed suppliers in the Republic, who question whether Strathroy will be able to source enough milk from Donegal to meet its requirements.
