Psyko 5.1 PC Gaming Headset
Gaming headsets may not be an essential peripheral, but they can certainly make the experience that bit more enjoyable.
Great quality audio is what this latest gaming headset does best, so much so that its makers are claiming it is “the perfect room” because of its audio capabilities.
The Psyko 5.1 PC Gaming Headset offers true 5.1 audio and creates 3D audio in a similar way to a large room system.
The high-end system give gamers a major advantage in that you can hear where the sound originates – an invaluable benefit in gaming. The trick is that the headset uses five speakers and a subwoofer positioned in exactly the right place, and dumps technology like digital signal processing that could alter the sound. All you get is pure audio, with no latency to spoil your enjoyment of the experience. The headset looks a little space age and it can seem a bit pricey, but the sound quality is stunning considering its compact form.

Peli i1015 iPhone case
Technology is a delicate thing, which is why there are so many cases out there offering to protect our precious mobile phones, MP3 players and handheld games consoles.
Peli Products’ latest case, however, goes a step further. Aimed at the iPhone and the iTouch, the i1015 is airtight, crushproof and has a water-resistant seal. Once your device is inside, the chances of even a dustmite getting near it are slim. Of course, this presents its own issues: if you can’t get to it, how can you use it as a music player?
If you don’t want to draft in Bluetooth technology, the i1015 has it solved, with an external jack that you can plug into your iPhone and headphones while retaining the water-resistant seal. The case even has a carabiner so you can hook it on to your belt.

Microsoft LifeCam HD6000
Made specifically for notebooks, the Microsoft LifeCam HD6000 brings your notebook up to date with some high-definition video capability. Simply clip the camera on to your notebook, connect it via USB and you are ready to start filming. It features true 720p HD video at 30 frames per second, as well as auto focus to help you get the best picture possible, keeping the image sharp even in close-ups. A 360-degree rotating lens captures all the action, turning halfway in both directions.
The new camera also features something called True Colour Technology, which adjusts exposure automatically depending on the lighting conditions. In practice, this means that even if you are filming a backlit subject, the camera will adjust the brightness and colour to capture the best image possible. As a Microsoft product, it is optimised for use with Windows Messenger, but you can also use it with other video applications such as Skype.
