PC maker Dell has initiated a voluntary redundancy programme for certain staff at its Irish operation.
The move is part of a staff reduction programme in 11 countries across Europe, Middle East and Africa.
The company, which currently employs around 2,500 people at its campuses in Limerick, Cork and Dublin, said the programme had no goal or target and was only open to employees from certain areas.
A spokeswoman said the redundancy programme would take place in tandem with a recruitment drive in its financial services and solutions businesses.
As a result, total employment numbers at its Irish operations is expected to remain unchanged.
