Google I/O 2015 was, as ever, chock-full of new announcements include the unveiling of Android M and Brillo, an operating system for the Internet of Things (IoT) as well as Google Maps offline and iOS compatibility for VR viewer Google Cardboard.
With all of this going on, it was easy to overlook Google Now, but an update will ensure that Android will give Siri a run for her money. Google Now will soon open up in-app whenever you need it. The clever bit is that tapping on the home button calls up predictive results.
Google guesses what you may be looking for, depending on the context, eg tap while listening to a band in Spotify and it will suggest you are looking for details on the lead singer.
