Slide iPad stand
If you’ve bought an iPad in recent weeks – the latest version or simply taking advantage of lower prices on the original model – you might find yourself in need of one of these.
The Slide iPad stand is aluminium and can be used to prop up your brand new purchase, either in portrait or landscape mode. It is lightweight, so it is also portable, and uses a black rubber cylinder concealed within the stand to hold your iPad in place.
The iPad sits on the angled base and rests against the rubber cylinder at the angle you need. It even comes with its own case.

Pentax Optio WG1GPS
A potential companion for treks in the wild (or even just the local park), the Pentax Optio WG1GPS can take most of the abuse you are likely to throw at it.
The camera is waterproof up to 10m, drop-proof from 1.5m and can withstand up to 100kg of weight on it.
It will even keep out dirt, dust and mud, thanks to airtight seals, and can take temperatures as low as minus 10 degrees.
The 14 megapixel camera has all the essentials, including a Pentax 5x zoom lens that starts at a wide angle 28mm.
Extreme close-ups are possible with its macro function that allows you to focus from 1cm away; a stand to eliminate the risk of camera shake and five LED macrolights.
And if that isn’t enough, you can also shoot full HD movies.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc
Sony unveiled the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc with a flourish at the Consumer Electronics Show in January.
But can the reality live up to the hype?
The Arc is certainly lightweight, even with the battery and, at 8.7mm, it is thin, with a curve that makes it sit perfectly in the palm of your hand.
It is an Android phone, which means you can take full advantage of Google’s Android market, including the web store that wirelessly sends apps to your handset over the data connection.
The Arc also comes with an 8.1 megapixel still camera and HD video recording. It even has HDMI output so you can watch the results on your HD TV.
