Tech tools: Lytro Light Field camera

Greater control over your images, even after you take them

You can keep your fancy digital cameras with 60 autofocus points and swappable lenses. The Lytro Light field camera doesn’t capture a 2D image; it records the entire light field.

The main advantage to this is that there is no autofocus to worry about, so you can capture images without shutter delay, change your perspective or refocus the image once you’ve taken it. It has an 8x optical zoom, with a constant aperture of f/2. It’s lightweight too, and because all the controls are within easy reach you can shoot one-handed.
