Dublin may be dominating the science arena but the digital future is set to be unveiled in Las Vegas, Nevada, this week at the world’s biggest technology trade show.
Some 20,000 new products will launch at the 2013 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), with major product trends including cloud-based services, gesture and sensing technologies, connected vehicles, the latest smartphone and tablet innovations and Ultra HDTV.
The latest wireless technologies and trends across the mobile connected universe will also be unveiled at the show tomorrow, with some 1,200 exhibitors showcasing wireless technologies.
The 2013 show is set to be one of the biggest on record, with more 3,000 global technology companies unveiling the latest consumer technology products and services.
Samsung president Stephen Woo, Panasonic president Kazuhiro Tsuga, Verizon chief executive Lowell McAdam, Ericsson chief executive Hans Vestberg and US Federal Communications Commission chairman Julius Genachowski will be among the speakers at the event.
