Don't get stuck in the IT past
Microsoft was the butt of jokes in the IT industry (remember those Apple Mac vs PC ads). Microsoft (or its ad agency) seems to have developed a sense of humour in this video, poking fun at VMWare, the EMC subsidiary it competes with in the virtualisation space. Even if you don’t get the fine points of the technology, this 1970s-inspired spoof pokes lots of fun at technology salesmen.

To worldwide radio on your smartphone
THERE’S BEEN talk for a while that Apple might decide to ban apps that only allow you to listen to a single radio station. If you are a radiophile, one app per station doesn’t make sense – and that’s where TuneIn Radio comes in. The free app allows you to listen to over 50,000 stations, in better quality than some Irish stations manage with their own apps, and better still, it’s available on iPhone, Android, Blackberry and Windows Phone.
