Irish-based international pre-paid calling card company TorcTelecom has expanded its operations into Spain in a deal which should boost revenues by around £600,000 (€761,843) per annum.
The company has signed a distribution agreement with Eurest, the second-largest duty free and catering company in Spain. Eurest's distribution network also includes a number of international airlines, including Futura and Iberworld. Eurest also has operations in Mexico, Malaysia, Russia, Portugal, Greece and Croatia.
TorcTelecom, which was established more than a year ago, by Mr Mark Roden, a director of Esat Telecom, provides cards which enable customers to make long distance calls which it claims can save up to 80 per cent on hotel charges and up to 50 per cent on mobile roaming charges.
