Trinity Venture Capital, part of the Reihill Venture Capital Group, has invested £500,000 in the Cork-based software development company, Statistical Solutions.

The company, which trades as Statsol, was formed in 1995, following a management buyout of the European operations of the US-owned BMP Statistical Software company. It develops software applications mainly for pharmaceutical, medical research and survey markets. The investment is Trinity's second biggest. It is a £12 million fund whose investors include members of the Reihill family.
