Sx3, a subsidiary of Northern Ireland holding group, Viridian, has announced the acquisition of Specialist Computer Programming, an IT provider to the UK local authority market.

The deal, valued at £600,000 sterling (€972,000), introduces Sx3's strategy to target the local government and public sector market in Northern Ireland and Britain. The company was established in 1987, and supplies specialist software to the local authority marketplace. Its product range includes building control, town planning and land and property services.
