MR MARTIN Sorrell yesterday looked on track for a possible £28 million pay package covering five years after his WPP advertising group lifted profits by a third to £113.7 million sterling. WPP's profits jump came after revenues rose 8 per cent to £1.56 billion during 1995. Its J Walter Thompson agency generated new billings of more than £201 million and Ogilvy & Mather net new business worth £134 million.
