The five-mile run at the Phoenix Park on Saturday took a battering from the wind, which proved good for comfort, but not so good for personal bests. Some runners didn't even have time to catch breath as ROSEMARY MAC CABEnabbed them at the finish line.
KIM-ELLA KENNY
How are you feeling?Not too bad.
How did the race go for you?I was aiming for under 32 minutes and I got 31.25, so I was happy.
Are you going to run any of the other races in the series?I'll do the 10-mile. I'm away for the half marathon but I'm thinking about the full marathon.
What are your plans for the weekend?I'm heading to look at a wedding dress with a friend, but after that I think I'll go out and celebrate.
BARRY LENNON
How are you feeling?Pretty good. It went better than I expected. You always feel good now, but in about three hours' time I'll be shattered.
What are your plans for the weekend?Just take it easy. I'm meant to go to a barbecue tonight but I'm not sure how that will work out with the weather.
Are you going to run any of the other races in the series?Yes. I've been doing it for a few years – I'm a repeat offender.
Do you talk, think or listen to music while you're running?I don't talk. I used to listen to music but I've stopped in the last year or so.
SEAN MORLEY
How are you feeling?Pretty good; better than I thought I would.
How did the race go for you?I did it in just over 30 minutes, about a minute slower than I'd have liked.
Is this the first race of this kind you've run?This is my fourth year running this series.
What are your plans for the weekend?I'm going to take it easy for the rest of the day, and visit family tomorrow.
JULIE GLEESON
How are you feeling?Really good; it was a great run. I pushed it out at the end and I'm dying to see my time now. I did this race two years ago, so I'm hoping to beat my time by four minutes.
What are your plans for the weekend?I'm part of Fitsquad, so I train and do different things.

BREDA MAHONEY
How are you feeling?I'm feeling okay. The last hill was very tough.
How did the race go for you?I wasn't overly happy. It wasn't the time I wanted to do.
Are you going to run any of the other races in the series?I will, because I'm doing the Berlin marathon and maybe Dublin.
What are your plans for the weekend?I've to go for another run after this, to get a long distance in, and then I'm going to Doolin for a hen party.

How are you feeling?Wrecked.
How did you find the race?The first and last miles were pretty tough with the weather.
Are you going to run any of the other races in the series?I'm doing all of them; I've been doing them for the past four or five years.
What are your plans for the weekend?To take it easy.

How are you feeling?Exhausted and a bit disappointed. I hoped to do it a bit faster, but it's okay.
How did the race go?I was very fast at the beginning – probably I pushed too hard. On the last hill I couldn't keep the pace.
Do you talk, think or listen to music while you're running?I just think. I'm very relaxed when I run. I don't need anything else.
