The County Grand Master of the Orange Order in Armagh, Mr Denis Watson, has asked us to point out that at last Saturday night's rally against the Belfast Agreement at Lurgan, Co Armagh, he did not call for the resignation of Mr David Trimble as leader of the Ulster Unionist Party but as MP for Upper Bann in order to test the views of constituents.

A reference to "the revolution of 1798" in an article by the French ambassador, Mr Henri de Coignac, which appeared in the supplement on France and Ireland published on Wednesday, should have referred to 1789.
