A local election constituency profile of Galway city and county in last Tuesday's editions referred to "fellow first timers" Gary Creavan and Declan McDonnell running for the Progressive Democrats in the north-east ward. Mr McDonnell is defending his seat as a sitting councillor.

A report in last Wednesday's editions headed "59 projects in Ireland and Britain to share £1.2m grant-aid" gave an incorrect grant allocation figure to the CARA Housing Association. The correct amount is £72,000.
