Mr Tom Cooney, a member of the executive of the Irish Council for Civil Liberties, was quoted in an article on pornography in yesterday's editions. Mr Cooney was speaking in a personal capacity.

The ICCL is currently reviewing its position on pornography which it views as a very difficult issue involving a conflict of rights.
